1998
Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET) officially launched as a wireless telecom service in Taiwan. The brand appealed to the public through the promise of “FET, no distance”, and successfully built the image.
2004
FET merged with KG Telecom, proclaiming a new era through its ad campaign “Taiwan’s largest cellular network connecting 10 million users.”
2005
With the launch of 3G service, FET released a series of commercials under the theme “Putting the whole world in your hands”, accompanying a touching theme song. The commercials appealed to customers by promising to enrich their lives with innovative 3G services.
2007
As FET celebrated the 10th anniversary an ad campaign “Choices” was launched to convey the message that FET offered products and services, which are simpler, smarter, cooler and more fun.
2008
FET merged with New Century InfoComm Tech Co., Ltd. and Seednet, while launching an ad campaign “I Only Want…,” saying that a customer’s every need could be met by FET’s digital products and services.
2011
FET rolled out four value-added services. At the same time, a series of commercials with the theme of “Connection” and the theme song “Count on Me” engaged customers to enrich their lives through diverse connections to music, video, e-book stores and APP market.
2013
The brand-new "Express your love. Let it be heard" campaign was launched to present FET's goals of closing the distance between people, encouraging people to express positive sentiments and let love be heard. We hoped that people's lives will be filled with positive influences and the society be filled with care and warmness.
2014
FET launched 4G service, its microfilm “FET LTE: The Future Is Now” became the talk of the town, successfully showing FET’s high speed 4G service can immediately fulfill consumers’ needs, and the comprehensive upgrade of a mobile life.
2017
As FET celebrated its 20th anniversary, the campaign “Innovation PowerUp” emphasized FET treat its customers better, including exclusive rewards and free offers, as well as a lifetime waiver for monthly fee so that FET can keep customers stay connected to their beloved ones.
2019
We reinterpret the "Closing the Distance" slogan with " For Every Thought, We Go Further" to not only bring people's hearts together but also close the distance between people and new tech.
2020
FET introduced 5G service with a promise of “dedicated network buildup, caring service and the most seamless experience.” FET is also the first telecom provider in Taiwan to offer telemedicine with 5G, to replace physical visits with virtual ones. The provider further developed the “A future with no distance” and “Top speed connection. First-class experience” brand campaigns to deliver the idea that FET 5G will fulfill all the expectations for life in the future, and bring an even richer experience of the 5G life!
2021
FET launched a series of brand commercials based on true stories of the heroes on the frontline of COVID response, with the theme “With heartfelt feelings, FET connects everyone”, which portrayed in a heartwarming manner that despite being separated by the pandemic, the mobile network connection allow people to instantly see and hear the thoughts and encouragement they have for one another, filling them with the strength to keeping going! This demonstrates FET’s attitude of putting their heart and soul into services, to be the best, and to convey FET’s brand promise of “Closing the distance”.
2022
When FET celebrated its 25th anniversary, a commercial featuring real-life stories of actual FET network engineers was aired, with the title of “FET guarding with its heart and soul”. The engineers invited to appear in the commercial presented the unknown hardships and even dangers they experienced while on duty. The clip conveyed each FET engineer devoted toward the network construction, placing reliable network quality as their first priority, and guarding each connection with their hearts.
2023
FET has completed the merger with Asia-Pacific Telecom. The “New FET" , is now crowned as the spectrum triple champion with the largest total spectrum bandwidth, low-band spectrum continuous bandwidth, and 5G spectrum bandwidth! Seizing the momentum, FET launched a new brand campaign featuring cyclists clad in red and green, symbolizing the merger of FET and Asia-Pacific Telecom into the strengthened "New FET" fleet. Serving nearly ten million users in Taiwan, "New FET" will bring a faster, more stable, and environmentally friendly upgraded network experience, proudly declaring, "FET, the top choice of New Network Generation."
